Head of Marketing

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing global strategic marketing plans, including the formulation of marketing strategies and tactical execution including positioning, pricing, branding, support of sales, program development and new product opportunities.

 


 

Head of Marketing duties

 

  • Create, develop and execute the global strategic marketing plans including market development, branding, internal and external communication, market research and events.
  • Plan and execute product launches with supporting branding and marketing materials.
  • Develop deep knowledge of market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Analyse reports, ROI of marketing activities and other data sources that gauge the health and growth of the business and future business trends.
  • Lead and develop the marketing function.
  • Working with the finance team to create and manage budgetary aspects of the function.
  • Manage a range of projects, including marketing strategies for pipeline products.
  • Responsible for management of outside vendors (Inc. PR and Media agencies) and contractors for specific initiatives.
  • Develop Product Portfolio Strategies.
  • Drive market research to inform design inputs, market/product requirements, R&D activities, packaging and labelling requirements, and product development input.
  • Partner with the Engineering Team to develop and implement new product introductions/refinements.
  • Participates in professional exhibitions to maintain company image and remain aware of product requirements and new market opportunities.

 

Head of Marketing person specification

 

  • Experience in a marketing and/or product management leadership position in a product led environment.
  • Naturally creative and engaging with a passion for marketing.
  • Technology savvy, adaptive and proactive.
  • Sense of urgency – make things happen/get results.
