HR Advisor Permanent

A Cardiff based Manufacturer is seeking to add an additional HR Advisor to their established HR team. Our client is seeking an experienced HR generalist with well-tuned Employee Relations skills. The HR Advisor will be working within a HR Team and reporting to the HR Manager. You will be liaising with employees at all levels, so it is imperative you possess exceptional communication skills.

It would be advantageous if the HR Advisor has worked within a manufacturing environment previously and proven experience of working closely with Trade Unions. This is fast paced, ever changing working environment so we are seeking an effective Change Manager.


Primary objective of the HR Advisor


To act as first point of contact for Management and employees on a wide range of employment related matters across all departments. The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing high quality generalist HR support and being an active partner in business projects.


HR Advisor duties and responsibilities


  • Give appropriate HR advice (employment law related and/or using Company Policies/Procedures) on key issues such as;
    • Disciplinary and grievance investigations and support.
    • Performance Management support.
    • Capability/ LTS Cases.
    • Absence Management.
    • Succession planning.
    • Change Management.
    • Flexible working.
  • Conduct new/replacement headcount assessment, including recruitment discussions with Management team.
  • Supporting management with the construction of job descriptions and job adverts.
  • Support and participate in interviewing candidates.
  • Coordinate employment offers and supporting documentation.
  • Holding regular TU/HR and work group update meetings.
  • Conduct line management training/workshops on policy and procedures, updated legislation and leadership development.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 38.75 hours per week with a 1:30pm finish on a Friday
