HR Manager (part time) Part Time

We are working with a diverse third sector organisation located in Newport who are seeking a stand alone HR Manager on a part time basis. The HR Manager will form part of the senior management team and facilitate this organisations growth plans for the future.

The HR Manager will be working closely with department Managers plus the CEO to advise and implement effective human resource management across the organisation. The HR Manager will ensure the group is engaged in continuous improvement and will engage with all employees and internal stakeholders.

HR Manager Person specification;

  • Educated to degree standard or have completed their CIPD qualification.
  • Experienced handling complex Employee Relations casework.
  • Practical knowledge of Employment Law where this has been applied during their working career.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Advanced IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational management skills.


HR Manager duties and responsibilities;

  • Creating and issuing contracts of employment.
  • End to end recruitment -management and administration of, reference checking, interviewing, shortlisting candidates (against a predefined criteria)
  • Grievances, investigations, disciplinaries, dismissals, – administration and management of.
  • Pensions administration.
  • Creation of policies, procedures and documentation relating to management of people.
  • Continued maintenance of company handbook.
  • Employee engagement.
  • Employee training and development.
  • Liaising with external HR consultants.
  • Performance management and improvement systems.


This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager seeking part time hours. The role would be spanning over three full days (with complete flexibility, which days are worked).
