A highly reputable Accountancy Practice are seeking a Personal Tax Manager to oversee a small tax team. The Personal Tax Manager will manage a portfolio of Self-Assessment Tax Return clients. This would include high net worth individuals, non-residents and trusts. Be responsible for providing assistance and training to other members of the department in their own portfolio management, dealing with more complex tax queries that may arise, to ensure they are able to meet filing deadlines.
To be considered for the Personal Tax Manager position you would need to be a Tax Senior with ample accountancy practice experience and ideally be ATT and/ or CTA qualified. Exceptional communication skills are paramount to this position, coupled with excellent attention to detail.

Work within an established Personal Tax Department organising the workload and liaising with other department managers to ensure client and business needs are met.
Review compliance (to include sole traders, partnerships, company directors and NHS Pension members) and planning work completed by other department members and provide ongoing training, ensuring their CPD requirements are met.

Ensure all relevant tax returns are complied to meet deadline, performance standards and client expectations.
Carry out staff appraisals, being responsible for everyone matching agreed performance standards and providing appropriate opportunities to allow individuals to fulfil their full potential within the firm.
Provide ongoing training to Accounts Department members who assist with Self Assessment preparation and organise their workload.
Working hours; Monday-Friday 37.5 hour per week
Hybrid working is available / full and part time hours will be considered.
