Senior Audit Manager

An award winning digital accountancy firm located in south west Wales are looking to appoint an A Senior Audit Manager. This is a vital role to the business with future Partnership opportunities. You will be working for a large, independent practice with multiple offices spanning the area.

Hybrid working is available with this position. 

To be considered for this role you need to be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA), specialising in Audit and Accounts. On a daily basis the  Audit Senior Manager will be planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion, along with general accounting compliance work. Preparing financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards, whilst on occasion training others. It would be highly advantageous if you have gained your RI status.


 

Audit Senior Manager Duties and responsibilities

  • Delivery of high quality audit and non-audit services, coordinating team members in delivery of same.
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102) and International Auditing.
  • Achieving department and individual performance objectives.
  • Managing administration of client, including budgets, WIP and timely billing.
  • Maintaining the highest technical and professional standards.
  • Thinking strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.
  • Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
  • Delivering results and managing client expectations.
  • Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value.
  • Monitoring and control staff working on the portfolio.
  • Supervising and coach, train and develop staff to develop their knowledge
  • A role model for department professionals.
  • Career progression through continuous professional development.

 


The Audit Senior Manager needs to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including; Sage, Xero and CCH products. You will liaise with clients exceptional communication skills are essential, with advanced IT skills and excellent project management abilities.
