Senior Accountant Permanent

Growing Swansea based Accountancy practice are seeking a Senior Accountant. This is a great opportunity to work with an extremely tech-savvy and modern practice. This accountancy practice has experienced steady growth in recent years and require a hands-on Manager to lead the team forward.

The Senior Accountant needs to be ACCA/ACA/ QBE qualified to be considered for this opportunity and have worked in an Accountancy Practice environment. You need to be able to demonstrate experience of the following: accounts preparation, CT600, self-assessment, VAT and payroll. It would be advantageous if you have worked with a range of cloud-based accountancy packages, including, Xero, Taxcalc, IRIS or CCH Pro Accounts.

Senior Accountant duties and responsibilities.

  • Managing a client portfolio.
  • Preparation and completion of Limited Company accounts.
  • Review colleagues work and provide support to others.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Preparation of VAT Returns under different VAT schemes.
  • Prepare and review personal tax returns.
  • Dealing with ad hoc queries raised by clients.
  • Experience with Xero, Sage Line 50 and other products.
  • Understanding of Companies Act disclosures for Financial Statements.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Hybrid working from home options are available after an initial period of being office based.
