An independent accountancy practice are seeking a Tax Advisor. The Tax Advisor would be joining an established and knowledgeable tax team, including a Partner. This is a great opportunity to develop your tax skills in a reputable practice with an enviable client base.

The Tax Advisor would be undertaking a mixed tax role encompassing both personal and corporation tax. Great progression opportunities’ are available with this role. This role would encompass compliance and advisory work and a offers a great environment to develop if you have only just honed your advisory skills.

You will have gained previous experience of one or more of the following areas: preparation of corporation tax returns, preparation of P11ds, preparation of personal tax returns, preparation of partnership tax computations and returns gained within an accountancy practice environment.

Support towards professional qualifications is readily available, including ATT and CTA.

Tax Advisor duties and responsibilities

• Deliver an effective and efficient personal and corporate tax compliance function for the practice including owner managed business and groups.
• Build on the firm’s relationship with its clients.
• Communicate with the HMRC on a regular basis.
• Develop and maintain the highest standards of personal and corporate tax compliance.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for tax planning.
• Control and manage systems for personal and corporate tax compliance and ensure effective communication with other departments and offices where necessary.
• Assist with the training of junior staff.
• Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax cases.
• Responsibility for ensuring that all filing and reporting deadlines are met on a timely basis.
