A large, independent Accountancy practice is seeking an additional Payroll Assistant for their busy payroll team. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative working environment and have the opportunity to work towards professional payroll CIPP qualifications in the future.

The Payroll Assistant needs to be an effective communicator who enjoys working in a time sensitive environment.

Full and part time hours will be considered. Hybrid working is also available (two days per week).

To be considered for this opportunity you you do need to have gained accountancy practice payroll experience, coupled with proficiency using Sage 50 payroll software.

 


Payroll Advisor duties and responsibilities;

  • Processing multiple payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly basis.
  • Working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Processing new starter and leaver information and updating payroll software and databases.
  • Working compliantly with payroll legislation.
  • All aspects of auto enrolment and setting up new schemes with various providers.
  • Making RTI submissions to HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Liaising with the HMRC as and when required.
  • Liaising with clients and providing a superior customer service.
  • Undertake year-end tasks and duties.
  • Liaise with other departments as and when required.
  • Undertake associated administrative duties.
  • Working with Sage 50 payroll software.
