A charity based on the eastern outskirts of Cardiff are recruiting for a Finance Assistant on a temporary basis for 2-3 months.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and supporting the wider team, this role is crucial in processing transactions and getting involved in projects.
Finance Assistant duties
- Process Purchase Ledger invoices accurately and efficiently. Ensuring coding procedures are followed.
- Regularly reconcile supplier accounts to statements and resolve any queries in a timely manner.
- Processing staff expenses claimed ensuring they are accurate and in line with our staff expenses policy.
- Processing and reconciling petty cash returns.
- Provide support to other finance colleagues as required.
- Other reasonable tasks as directed by the Finance Manager to ensure the effective running of the finance department.
Finance Assistant person specification
- GCSE English Literature or Language and Maths grade C or above (or equivalent).
- IT Skills including Microsoft Excel and working with accounting software.
- Working experience in a Finance team, ideally including one or more of purchase ledger, payroll support or expenses processing.
- Some understanding of the legal requirements relating to Data Protection.

Office is accessible via public transport but based on business park so might be difficult.
