A large, independent Accountancy practice is seeking a Payroll Trainee for their growing payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to begin a career in payroll.

To be considered for this position, the Payroll Trainee will need to have worked within a professional office previously and possess effective IT (MS office) and communication skills. The role will suit an individual who is highly numerate and enjoys working in a busy and challenging environment.

 


Payroll Trainee duties and responsibilities;

  • Processing multiple payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly basis.
  • Working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Processing new starter and leaver information and updating payroll software and databases.
  • Working compliantly with payroll legislation.
  • All aspects of auto enrolment and setting up new schemes with various providers.
  • Making RTI submissions to HM Revenue & Customs.
  • Liaising with the HMRC as and when required.
  • Liaising with clients and providing a superior customer service.
  • Undertake year-end tasks and duties.
  • Liaise with other departments as and when required.
  • Undertake associated administrative duties.
  • Working with Sage 50 payroll software.
