Assistant Management Accountant NEW
A successful international manufacturing company in Ystrad Mynach are now recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
The primary focus of the role is to deliver insightful reporting, strengthen controls and support decisions with the aid of a collaborative finance team. The role encompasses management reporting, budgeting, audit, tax compliance and inventory control.
Assistant Management Accountant duties
- Manage general ledger accounting including month end close period.
- Ensure all information produced is accurate and well presented.
- Assist with completing monthly Management Accounts pack.
- Accruals and Prepayments schedules, posting and reconciling.
- Prepare financial statements, annual reports, and statutory statistical submissions.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, post depreciations, disposals, sales, and review assets under construction.
- Post and reconcile intercompany balances.
- Prepare and reconcile VAT, Tax / Deferred tax postings
- Post payroll files, accrue and reconcile salaries, pension costs, and related taxes.
Assistant Management Accountant person specification
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Experience with manufacturing environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with financial systems and an Advanced Excel user.
