Management Accountant NEW
A privately owned service sector company in Cardiff are now recruiting for a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Working closely with the Head of Finance and a small team, this is an important appointment that is responsible for preparation of management accounts and better insights into company’s financial performance.
Applicants will have natural curiosity and sharp commercial acumen to transform a reactive function into a team that is proactive making valuable contributions to the business.
Management Accountant job description
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including all accruals and prepayments.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Building and maintaining advanced Excel reporting and analysis tools.
- Supporting year-end accounting processes and audit activities
- Monitor bank balances and produce accurate monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register
- Preparation of VAT Returns.
- Providing support for ad hoc operational reporting requirements as needed.
Management Accountant person specification
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role with knowledge of preparing management accounts.
- Strong software and systems ability.
- Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with colleagues, clients and suppliers quickly.
- Strong commercial awareness, understanding the impact of business activities and unafraid to ask questions or give answers.
