A leading independent practice is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Associate or Manager to join their growing VAT team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong indirect tax specialist who enjoys delivering clear, practical advice and managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.

The Role

Working closely with senior colleagues, you will take responsibility for delivering high quality VAT advisory and compliance services. You will support a diverse client base, manage complex technical queries and play a key role in strengthening the firm’s indirect tax offering.

What is the client seeking?

You will be a confident indirect tax specialist with strong technical capability and excellent communication skills.

CTA qualified and or technically exceptional Broad VAT experience across multiple sectors. Comfortable delivering fast paced, risk based VAT due diligence work. You will need to demonstrate your experience managing a portfolio of clients with strong relationship building skills and a clear, thoughtful communication style.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong VAT relationships with corporate clients
• Deliver practical, commercially focused VAT advice.
• Take on advisory projects immediately with exposure from day one.
• Manage the successful delivery of advisory assignments and compliance work.
• Provide clear, concise, jargon free solutions to client issues.
• Support a wide range of middle market VAT advisory engagements.
• Conduct risk focused VAT due diligence reviews.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a trusted point of contact.
