An independent accountancy practice is seeking to appoint an additional Accountant for their accounts team. You will be managing a portfolio of clients, working with a varied client base, predominantly consisting of owner managed businesses / SME clients.

Agile, flexible and hybrid working is available and this position.

This a varied role, where you would be involved with accounts preparation, Bookkeeping and management accounts. It would be highly advantageous if you Xero certified.

Our client is seeking an ACCA/ACA/ QBE part qualified/ qualified individual who has trained in an accountancy practice environment.

Full and part time hours will be considered.

Accountant duties and responsibilities;

• Manage a client portfolio with higher level of client responsibility.
• General accounting compliance work.
• Preparing financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards, whilst on occasion training others.
• You need to be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including; Sage, Xero and IRIS products.
• Use of workflow management across the team for your own portfolio.
• Deal with all elements of client service with support from Director for technical areas.
• Develop opportunities for the practice and flag to Director.
• Work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Take responsibility for delivery of quality advice.
