Accounts Senior

Cardiff based Accountancy Practice are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior from an Accountancy practice environment. You will be joining a firm of accountants who provide premier accounting, assurance, tax and specialist business advice worldwide.

This role will give exposure to a broad client base and offers the opportunity to develop and progress with the firm.

Over the last few years, the practice have won multiple industry awards such as National Firm of the Year, Tax Team of the Year, Graduate and Non-Graduate programme of the Year, Best Advisory Services and most recently the gold standard accreditation by Investors in People.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a progressive practice and develop in a supportive environment. To be considered for this role you need to have worked with cloud based accountancy software including: Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, IRIS or CCH.


 

Accounts Senior duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards from books and records maintained by the firm or the client.
  • Prepare management accounts from information and documentation received from clients, ensuring that all relevant deadlines are met.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to clients in relation to financial reporting matters.
  • Complete VAT returns for allocated clients.
  • Advise clients on cloud based software queries.
  • Develop and maintain good client relations.
  • Liaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information.
  • Ensure a high level of service to meet client’s expectations.
  • Make timely and relevant recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting and accounting systems in use (including software).

Working hours; Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week- flexible and hybrid working patterns available
