Accounts Technician Permanent
An Accounts Technician is required for an independent Accountancy Practice looking to expand their existing team due to growth.
You will be joining an established team, offering a varied accounts role with hybrid working and free on-site parking.
Our client is seeking a confident communicator who is keen to use their initiative when liaising with their clients. You will be working with a range of cloud-based accountancy software, including, Xero, Quickbooks, Hubdoc and TaxCalc. Familiarity with this technology and an eagerness to learn is highly advantageous.
To be considered for the Accounts Technician opportunity you do need to have gained prior accountancy practice experience and ideally be AAT level 4 qualified.
It is imperative you can prioritise your own workload, with a strong sense of priority when delivery on client commitments.
Full and part time hours will be considered plus hybrid from home options.
Duties and Responsibilities of Accounts Technician.
- Managing a portfolio of VAT returns and being the first point of contact.
- Assisting with client queries and looking to resolve in a swift and efficient manner.
- Preparing VAT reports for Director review.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of management accounts, posting monthly adjustment journals.
- Preparation of VAT Returns under different VAT schemes.
- Bookkeeping duties.
- Experience with Cloud based accountancy software.
- Assisting with CIS obligations and advising clients with CIS enquiries.
- Contacting HMRC to resolve PAYE coding notices; chasing up loss relief claims; requesting authorisations.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to reach team targets.
