Assistant Accountant NEW
A growing company in Swansea are now recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is pivotal in supporting financial operations and as part of a growing business will contribute to maintaining financial integrity and providing key information to support Management Accounting and other financial processes.
Assistant Accountant job description
- Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Manage invoice processing, including matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in compiling financial data for Management Accounting purposes.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accuracy in all reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly finance review meetings with project development teams.
- Assist with the production of statutory accounts.
- Support the annual budget process.
Assistant Accountant person specification
- Proven experience in an accounts/finance role.
- Excellent academic record being either AAT qualified or ACCA part qualified.
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in working with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
