Assistant Management Accountant NEW
A progressive organisation in Cardiff city centre are now recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting, VAT Returns and additional transactional accounting duties. As well as this, you will with a range of colleagues outside of the finance team raise the financial understanding of other departments.
Assistant Management Accountant duties
- Prepare monthly management accounts, reporting and management information.
- Monitor bank balances and help deliver accurate monthly cash flow forecasts
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero
- Liaise with the wider team to ensure all data is correctly accounted for and reconciled
- Working with Accounts Assistant to oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
- Monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Review and administer company expenses.
- Assist with payroll preparation.
- Review bank reconciliations and set up payments.
Assistant Management Accountant person specification
- Experience of preparing monthly management accounts.
- Strong academic background, being AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA part qualified.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel ability coupled with experience of using an accounting software.
- Positive outlook who is both hands-on and strategic.
- Natural communicator, able to work with a variety of colleagues.
