Audit/Accounts Senior Permanent

A leading independent, Newport based Accountancy practice are seeking an Audit/Accounts Senior. This is a great opportunity for a part qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA) seeking to work in a flexible professional environment that offers hybrid working. Full  study support options would be available to complete your professional exams and become qualified.

Good working location, coupled with parking, you can’t really ask for more! You need to possess a full UK drivers license and have access to your own vehicle.

On a daily basis the Accounts/Audit Senior will be undertaking audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion, along with general accounting compliance work. Preparing financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards, whilst on occasion training others.


Audit/ Accounts Senior duties and responsibilities;

  • Delivery of high quality audit and non-audit services, coordinating team members in delivery of same.
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102) and International Auditing.
  • Achieving department and individual performance objectives.
  • Managing administration of client, including budgets, WIP and timely billing.
  • Maintaining the highest technical and professional standards.
  • Thinking strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.
  • Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
  • Delivering results and managing client expectations.
  • A role model for department professionals.

The Accounts/ Audit Senior needs to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including; Sage, Xero and CCH products. You will liaise with clients exceptional communication skills are essential, with advanced IT skills and excellent project management abilities.

 

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday, hybrid working (2 days working from home per week).
