Assistant Manager/ Manager Permanent

Our client is a leading independent Accountancy practice with an unrivalled reputation. The Assistant Manager/ Manager is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who is seeking a professional, yet nurturing environment.

The Assistant Manager/ Manger would benefit from a good working location, coupled with free parking. You need to possess a full UK drivers’ licence and have access to your own vehicle.

To be considered for this role you need to be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA). Daily you will be managing a portfolio of non-audit SME businesses and managing a team.

You need to be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including; Sage, Xero and Quickbooks products. You will be liaising with clients on multiple levels therefore, exceptional communication skills are essential, coupled with advanced IT skills and excellent project management abilities.

Assistant Manager/ Manager Duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Preparation of yearend accounts.
  • Preparation of VAT Returns under different VAT schemes.
  • Reviewing year end accounts prepared by junior members of staff.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries raised by clients.
  • Systems used are Sage Line 50, Xero and QuickBooks.


Monday-Friday 35 hours per week (with some flexibility)
