A privately owned business in Bridgend are recruiting for a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. Managing a small team this role will report to the company Director and is responsible for all finance activities.

Finance Manager duties

• Managing a team that is responsible for processing both Sales and Purchase Ledger transactions to including posting and allocating payments, credit control, matching invoices with delivery notes and posting, daily bank reconciliations.
• Processing accruals and prepayments.
• Maintaining Fixed Assets register.
• Calculating and processing VAT Returns.
• Producing weekly creditors reports.
• Monthly credit card and Hire Purchase analysis.
• Monthly Management Accounts for two businesses with balance sheet analysis and commentary.
• Producing Yearend accounts and Yearend Payroll returns.

Finance Manager person specification

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role with an SME business.
• Able to work and resolve any financial issues independently.
• Communicate with non-financial colleagues.
• Provide insight into business performance to Directors.
• Able to work in a ‘hands-on’ role.
