Finance Officer

Due to continued success, a well respected organisation near Caerphilly are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their busy team. The organisation has strong values and their aim is to make a positive impact through their work.

The Finance Officer role forms part of a well defined team, reporting into the Finance Manager and responsible for one specific, ongoing project.

 


 

Finance Officer duties

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of finance process improvements.
  • Prepare the VAT returns.
  • Input into the project quarterly reports.
  • Facilitate monthly staff expenses payments.
  • Act as main liaison in relation to audit requirements.
  • Review all transactions with reference to eligibility rules.
  • Prepare, reconcile and submit claims in a timely manner.
  • Raising claims and reconciling accounts.

 

Finance Officer Person Specification

 

  • AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part qualified.
  • Experience of preparing grant claims.
  • Reconciliation of financial records.
  • Experience with Sage or accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous work style.
