Finance Officer
Due to continued success, a well respected organisation near Caerphilly are recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their busy team. The organisation has strong values and their aim is to make a positive impact through their work.
The Finance Officer role forms part of a well defined team, reporting into the Finance Manager and responsible for one specific, ongoing project.
Finance Officer duties
- Contribute to the development and delivery of finance process improvements.
- Prepare the VAT returns.
- Input into the project quarterly reports.
- Facilitate monthly staff expenses payments.
- Act as main liaison in relation to audit requirements.
- Review all transactions with reference to eligibility rules.
- Prepare, reconcile and submit claims in a timely manner.
- Raising claims and reconciling accounts.
Finance Officer Person Specification
- AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part qualified.
- Experience of preparing grant claims.
- Reconciliation of financial records.
- Experience with Sage or accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous work style.
