Practice Accountant Permanent
An established and growing Cardiff based Accountancy Practice are seeking an additional Qualified/Part Qualified Practice Accountant to join their busy and friendly team.
The successful applicant to the Accountant role will benefit from working within a well-appointed office with good transport links (on site parking) and an unwavering support structure at the core of the business. It is imperative that you have gained or commenced your ACA/ACCA qualifications and have worked within an Accountancy practice environment previously. It would be advantageous if you have working knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks and/ or Sage. Full study support packages are available.
You will be meeting and advising clients so clear and confident communication skills are imperative.
Accountant duties and responsibilities
- Working within the general Accounts department
- Managing an established portfolio of clients meeting clients as and when required
- Preparation of annual financial statements from incomplete records and various accounting software packages
- Preparation of periodic management accounts using various accounting software packages, including Sage 50
- Demonstrating awareness of compliance legislation e.g. VAT, tax, PAYE
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Assisting junior colleagues as and when required

Qualified Accountant working hours Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week.
