Semi Senior/ Senior Accountant Permanent
We are working in partnership with an independent Cardiff based Accountancy practice who are looking to appoint a Semi Senior/ Senior Accountant due to growth. This would be varied and technical role working in a close knit team.
You will be working closely with clients and providing invaluable advice and guidance for their general accounts and bookkeeping. If you are looking to work for an independent practice who focus and value a customer driven experience this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
To be considered you do need to have gained accounts preparation experience within an accountancy practice environment. You do need to have gained experience working with cloud based accountancy software including; IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
There is the opportunity to be trained in Audit(s) and SRA fieldwork and the practice actively encourages continued professional development. Regular training is provided during working hours.
Semi Senior/ Senior Accountant duties and responsibilities’;
- Preparation of Sole Trader, Partnership and limited company accounts in an extended trial balance format.
- Calculation of Corporation tax.
- Preparation of simple personal tax returns.
- Occasional VAT return preparation (as and when required).
- Client facing role, offering superior customer service to clients.
- There will be audit field work (training will be given) .
- There will be SRA field work (Training will be given).
- Working with cloud based accountancy software including IRIS, QuickBooks, Sage and Xero.
This opportunity is office based with free onsite parking.
28 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays) plus day off on your birthday.
Working Hours; Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-4pm
