Tax Assistant Permanent
An established independent accountancy practice is seeking a Tax Assistant to join its experienced tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career within a supportive and flexible working environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Managers and Directors, gaining exposure to a broad range of tax matters. Candidacy will only be considered if you have gained prior tax experience gained within an accountancy practice. This opportunity would suit a numerate individual with keen attention to detail.

Tax Assistant duties and responsibilities;
- Preparation of personal tax returns (Self Assessment) for a varied client base.
- Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns.
- Supporting senior staff with tax compliance work across different tax areas.
- Liaising with HMRC on routine matters, including queries and correspondence.
- Maintaining accurate client records and working papers.
- Assisting with basic tax planning work as experience develops.
- Meeting deadlines and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and professional standards.
- Providing a professional and helpful service to clients.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 35 hours per week- flexible working and hybrid working from home is available.
